Audition Information

We are pleased that you are considering the Surrey Children's Choir for your child, and/or the Surrey Community Chorus for yourself. Please take some time to browse the material here on the website that we hope will assist you in understanding our programmes. The audition is a very positive and non-threatening experience. It will likely involve several things that the singer may not have done before, such as tone matching, voice range exploration, rhythm assessment, and music theory placement. Everyone will do well and we will increase the complexity of these concepts until we are all convinced that the singer has done his or her very best. Singers will be asked to sing a familiar song such as Happy Birthday.
